Description
Adjustable air atomizing spray nozzles are designed for precision applications where air and liquid streams are mixed externally, outside the nozzle. This design ensures there is no internal connection between the air and liquid lines, allowing for independent control of air and liquid flow rates. This independent control enables precise metering of liquid flow and adjustment of atomization.
The degree of atomization can be easily controlled by regulating the air flow rate—higher air flow produces finer atomization. While external mix setups may not achieve atomization as fine as internal mix configurations, they are ideal for handling liquids with higher viscosities.
Properties:
- External Mixing Design:
- Air and liquid mix externally, making the nozzle suitable for viscous fluids and particle-laden liquids.
- Operates effectively with liquids having viscosities above 250 cP.
- Independent Flow Control:
- Air and liquid flow rates can be adjusted independently, offering greater precision in liquid delivery and spray control.
- High Flow Rates:
- External mix nozzles provide the highest flow rates compared to other atomizing nozzles.
- Material Options:
- Standard models are made from SS316 stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance.
- Additional material options include brass, SS304, and Duplex steel, or customized materials based on specific customer requirements.
- Built-In Pneumatic Control Valve:
- Ensures precise regulation of spray pattern, droplet size, and air pressure.
- Versatility:
- Ideal for applications requiring precise control over spray patterns, droplet size, and flow rates, regardless of the shape or type of atomizing air.
Common Applications:
- High Viscous Liquid Spray with Air
- Coating Processes: Applying uniform coatings in industries like food processing, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
- Cooling and Humidification: Used in evaporative cooling and maintaining humidity in controlled environments.
- Dust Suppression: Ideal for reducing airborne particulates in industrial and mining applications.
- Spray Drying: Employed in drying systems where fine mist formation is critical.
Advantages:
- Non-clogging design due to external mixing.
- Flexibility in handling a wide range of fluids, including those with high viscosity or particulates.
- Greater control over atomization, allowing for efficient use of liquids and air.
